January = unnecessary

Still January it seems …a cold and thoroughly pointless month stuck between the fun of Christmas and the brighter evenings & vague optimism of February.  It seems you can’t ignore it, though I have tried.  Maybe I should start a petition to have it abolished… Hmm…

    If January were to be abolished we would either have to speed up the Earth’s orbit or add extra days to all the other months.

    I know which one I’d prefer – it took me too long to memorise that rhyme “30 days have September…” to go changing it now.

    OR we could just rebrand January as ‘Funuary’ …who could hate Funuary?
