Interview on ‘Colouring a Corner’
October 31st, 2010
Check it out – I was interviewed about Faraday and comics by the wonderful ‘Colouring a Corner’ blog, who asked some interesting questions about the origins of the strip, the comic-creating process and my influences – I do tend to gas on a bit about these things, so the interview is being presented in two parts… Essential reading for anyone who has ever lamented the pitiful state of my ‘About’ page
*Update* Part two is now up – hear me wax on about Burp and Fungus…

Good read that. I remember 2 other characters you used back in the school days, mostly because they were on my school journal. Harry the hovering hairball and aponsus the amoeba, don’t know why but they always stuck with me.
I was just flicking through the old school yearbooks recently showing my wife the awful teens years and found the one with all your illustrations throughout, certainly took me back a bit! 5th year if i remember correctly??

Ha! I remember Alphonsus the Amoeba alright! I’d forgotten about the other fellow altogether. Alphonsus was cool, heavily heavily armed if I recall with blind hatred of balleen whales… Must try and find those old strips…
If I recall correctly (which I never do) I illustrated a few of those yearbooks, maybe three or four… great fun. I think I’ve managed to lose my copies though. Might be for the best *remembers haircut*
